Part 9 of “The Regimen: Ruqyah with the Qur’an and Sunnah” Compiled by Dalia Elamawy&nbsp; Introduction Ruqyah is perfected by combining the Qur’an’s recitations with the adhkār (supplications) taught by the Messenger ﷺ. These du‘ā’s are weapons of light — concise yet powerful invocations that remove pain, restore faith, and call upon Allah by His most beautiful names. They can be recited during personal ruqyah, over oneself, or on behalf of others.&nbsp; Bismillah — Protection from Harm بِسْمِ اللهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُIn the name of Allah, with whose name nothing is harmed on earth nor in the heavens, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing. How to Use: Recite three times in the morning and evening. A shield against every harm.&nbsp; Du‘ā for Healing أَسْأَلُ اللَّهَ الْعَظِيمَ، رَبَّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ أَنْ يَشْفِيَكَI ask Allah, the Supreme, Lord of the Magnificent Throne, to cure you. How to Use: Recite seven times for the ill or afflicted.(Adjust pronouns according to whom you are reciting for.)&nbsp; Comprehensive Ruqyah Du‘ā بِسْمِ اللهِ أَرْقِيكَ، مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ يُؤْذِيكَ، مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ نَفْسٍ أَوْ عَيْنِ حَاسِدٍ، اللَّهُ يَشْفِيكَ، بِسْمِ اللهِ أَرْقِيكَIn the name of Allah I perform ruqyah on you — from everything that afflicts you and from the evil of every soul or envious eye. May Allah cure you; in the name of Allah I perform ruqyah on you. How to Use: Recite three times.&nbsp; Du‘ā of Surrender and Comfort اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي عَبْدُكَ، ابْنُ عَبْدِكَ، ابْنُ أَمَتِكَ، نَاصِيَتِي بِيَدِكَ، مَاضٍ فِيَّ حُكْمُكَ، عَدْلٌ فِيَّ قَضَاؤُكَ...O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your maidservant. My forelock is in Your Hand, Your command over me is executed, and Your decree over me is just. I ask You by every name belonging to You — those You have revealed in Your Book, taught to any of Your creation, or kept hidden in the unseen — that You make the Qur’an the life of my heart, the light of my chest, and the removal of my sorrow and anxiety. How to Use: Recite when feeling despair, sadness, or spiritual heaviness.&nbsp; Du‘ā for Healing and Relief اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ النَّاسِ، أَذْهِبِ الْبَأْسَ، وَاشْفِ أَنْتَ الشَّافِي، لَا شِفَاءَ إِلَّا شِفَاؤُكَ، شِفَاءً لَا يُغَادِرُ سَقَمًاO Allah, Lord of all people, remove the harm and cure (the illness), for You are the Healer. There is no cure except Yours — a cure that leaves no trace of sickness. How to Use: Recite seven times over the afflicted area or upon water/olive oil.&nbsp; Declaration of Tawḥīd لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ الْعَظِيمُ الْحَلِيمُ، لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ، لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَرَبُّ الْأَرْضِ وَرَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْكَرِيمِNone has the right to be worshipped except Allah, the Forbearing. None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, Lord of the Mighty Throne. None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, Lord of the heavens, the earth, and the Noble Throne. Use for: Affirming Allah’s greatness during pain or fear; grounding the heart in tawḥīd.&nbsp; Du‘ā for Strength and Renewal يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّومُ، بِرَحْمَتِكَ أَسْتَغِيثُ، أَصْلِحْ لِي شَأْنِي كُلَّهُ، وَلَا تَكِلْنِي إِلَى نَفْسِي طَرْفَةَ عَيْنٍO Ever-Living, O Eternal, by Your mercy I call on You to set right all my affairs. Do not leave me in charge of my soul even for the blink of an eye. &nbsp; Du‘ā of Repentance and Reflection لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَNone has the right to be worshipped except You. Glory be to You! Indeed, I was among the wrongdoers. Use for: Moments of repentance, reflection, and renewal of humility before Allah.&nbsp; Du‘ā for Health and Protection اللَّهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِي بَدَنِي، اللَّهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِي سَمْعِي، اللَّهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِي بَصَرِي، لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ... اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْكُفْرِ وَالْفَقْرِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ، لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَO Allah, grant my body health, O Allah, grant my hearing health, O Allah, grant my sight health. None has the right to be worshipped except You. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from disbelief, poverty, and the punishment of the grave. How to Use: Recite three times in the morning and evening.&nbsp; Du‘ā for Protection Against the Evil Eye and Jinn أُعِيذُكُمَا بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّةِ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ وَهَامَّةٍ وَمِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ لَامَّةٍI commend you to the protection of Allah’s perfect words — from every devil, vermin, and every evil eye. How to Use: Recite three times over children or loved ones.&nbsp; Du‘ā for Immediate Pain Relief بِسْمِ اللَّهِ (three times) Then say seven times: أَعُوذُ بِعِزَّةِ اللَّهِ وَقُدْرَتِهِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا أَجِدُ وَأُحَاذِرُIn the name of Allah... I seek refuge in the might and power of Allah from the evil that afflicts me and that which I fear. &nbsp; Reflection The Prophet ﷺ left us a legacy of healing that combines remembrance, supplication, and deep reliance upon Allah. These adhkār are not merely words — they are living shields that guard the believer’s body, heart, and soul when recited with sincerity and conviction.

Healing Supplications (Adhkaar) from the Sunnah

Part 8 of “The Regimen: Ruqyah with the Qur’an and Sunnah” Compiled by Dalia Elamawy&nbsp; Introduction The final three chapters of the Qur’an — Al-Ikhlāṣ, Al-Falaq, and An-Nās — are known collectively as Al-Mu‘awidhāt (the Chapters of Seeking Refuge). They form the ultimate spiritual shield for every believer, combining pure monotheism with comprehensive protection against every form of harm — seen and unseen.The Prophet ﷺ said that reciting these surahs three times in the morning and evening suffices as complete protection.“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, ‘Say: He is Allah, the One,’ and the two chapters of refuge every evening and morning three times. They will be enough for you against everything.” (Sunan al-Tirmidhi) &nbsp; Surat al-Ikhlāṣ (الإخلاص) (divinely revealed توقيفي)قُلْ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ أَحَدٌ ١ ٱللَّهُ ٱلصَّمَدُ ٢ لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ ٣ وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُۥ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌۢ ٤1. Say (O Muhammad ﷺ), “He is Allah, the One.”2. “The Self-Sufficient Master.”3. “He begets not, nor was He begotten.”4. “And there is none co-equal or comparable unto Him.” Points to Ponder Loving this surah will take you to Paradise — as the Prophet ﷺ told a man who said he loved it. It is the declaration of pure monotheism, the very essence of tawḥīd.Virtue and Benefit This short, magnificent surah is equivalent to one-third of the Qur’an.Abu Dardā’ reported that the Prophet ﷺ said: “Is it difficult for one of you to recite a third of the Qur’an in a single night?” They said, ‘How can one of us do that?’ He said, ‘Qul Huwa Allahu Ahad is equivalent to one-third of the Qur’an.’” (Muslim) How to Use It for Ruqyah Recite it — along with the next two surahs — three times, or any odd number if you are able. It is foundational for ruqyah and should be recited for all types of affliction: physical pain, psychological distress, ‘ain, siḥr, or possession.&nbsp; Surat al-Falaq (الفلق) (divinely revealed توقيفي)قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ ٱلْفَلَقِ ١ مِن شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ ٢ وَمِن شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ ٣ وَمِن شَرِّ ٱلنَّفَّـٰثَـٰتِ فِى ٱلْعُقَدِ ٤ وَمِن شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ ٥1. Say: “I seek refuge with (Allah), the Lord of the daybreak,2. From the evil of what He has created,3. And from the evil of the darkening night as it comes,4. And from the evil of the witchcrafts when they blow in the knots,5. And from the evil of the envier when he envies.” Points to Ponder Allah is my Protector against all things evil. Just as the Messenger ﷺ was afflicted by siḥr and overcame it by Allah’s help, I too beseech Allah for His protection against every form of evil.Virtue and Benefit Zayd ibn Arqam reported that a Jew named Labeeb ibn A’sam cast a magical spell on the Prophet ﷺ. When he began to suffer from it, Jibrīl came to him and revealed Al-Falaq and An-Nās, saying:“Surely it was a Jew who cast this spell on you and the charm is in a certain well.” The Prophet ﷺ sent ʿAlī ibn Abī Ṭālib to retrieve it. He returned with the charm, and the Prophet ﷺ instructed him to untie each knot while reciting a verse from the surahs. As he did so, the Prophet ﷺ rose as if released from a binding.How to Use It for Ruqyah Recite it and its sisters (Al-Ikhlāṣ and An-Nās) three times, or any odd number. These surahs are essential for ruqyah, especially against siḥr, ‘ain, and psychological affliction.&nbsp; Surat an-Nās (الناس) (divinely revealed توقيفي)قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ ٱلنَّاسِ ١ مَلِكِ ٱلنَّاسِ ٢ إِلَـٰهِ ٱلنَّاسِ ٣ مِن شَرِّ ٱلْوَسْوَاسِ ٱلْخَنَّاسِ ٤ ٱلَّذِى يُوَسْوِسُ فِى صُدُورِ ٱلنَّاسِ ٥ مِنَ ٱلْجِنَّةِ وَٱلنَّاسِ ٦1. Say: “I seek refuge with (Allah), the Lord of mankind,2. The King of mankind,3. The God of mankind,4. From the evil of the whisperer who withdraws,5. Who whispers in the hearts of mankind,6. Of jinn and men.” Points to Ponder I am seeking refuge in the Lord of mankind, the King of mankind, the God of mankind — from the whisperings of shayṭān, whether from jinn or human. No harm can touch me when I am under Allah’s protection.Virtue and Benefit Zayd ibn Arqam narrated the same event of the Prophet ﷺ being afflicted by siḥr and cured through these two surahs. They serve as the final, ultimate protection for every believer.How to Use It for Ruqyah Recite this surah — along with Al-Falaq and Al-Ikhlāṣ — three times, or any odd number if you are able. They form the foundation of every ruqyah, protecting from all harm: physical, spiritual, or emotional.&nbsp; Reflection The Mu‘awidhāt are not simply chapters of refuge — they are a believer’s daily shield, armor, and renewal of tawḥīd. Reciting them each morning and evening is like building a spiritual fortress, keeping one’s heart anchored in Allah’s mercy and power.

The Fortress of the Believer – The Mu‘awidhāt

Part 7 of “The Regimen: Ruqyah with the Qur’an and Sunnah” Compiled by Dalia Elamawy&nbsp; Introduction There are ayaat in the Qur’an so powerful that they cause the shayāteen to tremble. They describe scenes of divine might, punishment, and the irresistible power of Allah — verses that burn away the presence of evil, repel dark forces, and strengthen the believer’s heart with awe and conviction. Reciting them during ruqyah drives away rebellious jinn and any forces of darkness by the permission of Allah.&nbsp; Surat al-Ḥajj (الحج) 22-19۞ هَـٰذَانِ خَصْمَانِ ٱخْتَصَمُوا۟ فِى رَبِّهِمْ ۖ فَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ قُطِّعَتْ لَهُمْ ثِيَابٌۭ مِّن نَّارٍۢ يُصَبُّ مِن فَوْقِ رُءُوسِهِمُ ٱلْحَمِيمُ ١٩ يُصْهَرُ بِهِۦ مَا فِى بُطُونِهِمْ وَٱلْجُلُودُ ٢٠ وَلَهُم مَّقَـٰمِعُ مِنْ حَدِيدٍۢ ٢١ كُلَّمَآ أَرَادُوٓا۟ أَن يَخْرُجُوا۟ مِنْهَا مِنْ غَمٍّ أُعِيدُوا۟ فِيهَا وَذُوقُوا۟ عَذَابَ ٱلْحَرِيقِ. 19 These two opponents (believers and disbelievers) dispute with each other about their Lord; then as for those who disbelieve, garments of fire will be cut out for them, boiling water will be poured down over their heads.20. With it will melt or vanish away what is within their bellies, as well as their skins.21. And for them are hooked rods of iron.22. Every time they seek to get away therefrom, from anguish, they will be driven back therein, and it will be said to them: “Taste the torment of burning!” How to Use Repeat these verses many times if you notice an unusual effect. They are particularly effective against jinn who resist or cause disruption during ruqyah.&nbsp; Surat aṣ-Ṣāffāt (الصافات) 10-1وَٱلصَّـٰٓفَّـٰتِ صَفًّۭا ١ فَٱلزَّٰجِرَٰتِ زَجْرًۭا ٢ فَٱلتَّـٰلِيَـٰتِ ذِكْرًا ٣ إِنَّ إِلَـٰهَكُمْ لَوَٰحِدٌۭ ٤ رَّبُّ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَرَبُّ ٱلْمَشَـٰرِقِ ٥ إِنَّا زَيَّنَّا ٱلسَّمَآءَ ٱلدُّنْيَا بِزِينَةٍ ٱلْكَوَاكِبِ ٦ وَحِفْظًۭا مِّن كُلِّ شَيْطَـٰنٍۢ مَّارِدٍۢ ٧ لَّا يَسَّمَّعُونَ إِلَى ٱلْمَلَإِ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ وَيُقْذَفُونَ مِن كُلِّ جَانِبٍۢ ٨ دُحُورًۭا ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌۭ وَاصِبٌ ٩ إِلَّا مَنْ خَطِفَ ٱلْخَطْفَةَ فَأَتْبَعَهُۥ شِهَابٌۭ ثَاقِبٌۭ ١٠ 1. By those (angels) ranged in ranks.2. By those who drive the clouds in a good way.3. By those who bring the Book and the Qur’an from Allah to mankind.4. Verily your Ilah (God) is One — Allah.5. Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, and Lord of every point of the sun’s risings.6. Verily! We have adorned the near heaven with the stars.7. And to guard against every rebellious devil.8. They cannot listen to the higher group (angels), for they are pelted from every side.9. Outcast — theirs is a constant torment.10. Except those who snatch away something by stealth, and they are pursued by a flaming fire of piercing brightness. How to Use Repeat this passage several times if there is an unusual effect. It is especially powerful when dealing with cases of sihr or possession caused by rebellious jinn.&nbsp; Surat ar-Raḥmān (الرحمن) 36-33 يَـٰمَعْشَرَ ٱلْجِنِّ وَٱلْإِنسِ إِنِ ٱسْتَطَعْتُمْ أَن تَنفُذُوا۟ مِنْ أَقْطَارِ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ فَٱنفُذُوا۟ ۚ لَا تَنفُذُونَ إِلَّا بِسُلْطَـٰنٍۢ ٣٣ فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ٣٤ يُرْسَلُ عَلَيْكُمَا شُوَاظٌۭ مِّن نَّارٍۢ وَنُحَاسٌۭ فَلَا تَنتَصِرَانِ ٣٥ فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ٣٦33. O assembly of jinn and men! If you have power to pass beyond the zones of the heavens and the earth, then pass them! But you will never be able to pass them, except with authority from Allah.34. Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you both deny?35. There will be sent against you both smokeless flames of fire and molten brass, and you will not be able to defend yourselves.36. Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you both deny? Reflection This ayah powerfully declares the limits of both mankind and jinn — that they cannot escape Allah’s command, nor cross the bounds of His dominion.&nbsp; Surat al-Ḥashr (الحشر) 21–24 لَوْ أَنزَلْنَا هَـٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ عَلَىٰ جَبَلٍۢ لَّرَأَيْتَهُۥ خَـٰشِعًۭا مُّتَصَدِّعًۭا مِّنْ خَشْيَةِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ وَتِلْكَ ٱلْأَمْثَـٰلُ نَضْرِبُهَا لِلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ ٢١ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ عَـٰلِمُ ٱلْغَيْبِ وَٱلشَّهَـٰدَةِ ۖ هُوَ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ ٢٢ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ٱلْمَلِكُ ٱلْقُدُّوسُ ٱلسَّلَـٰمُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُ ٱلْمُهَيْمِنُ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْجَبَّارُ ٱلْمُتَكَبِّرُ ۚ سُبْحَـٰنَ ٱللَّهِ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ ٢٣ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْخَـٰلِقُ ٱلْبَارِئُ ٱلْمُصَوِّرُ ۖ لَهُ ٱلْأَسْمَآءُ ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ ۚ يُسَبِّحُ لَهُۥ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ ٢٤21. Had We sent down this Qur’an on a mountain, you would have seen it humbled and torn apart out of fear of Allah. Such are the parables We set forth to mankind so that they may reflect.22. He is Allah — none has the right to be worshipped but He — Knower of the unseen and the seen, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate.23. He is Allah — none has the right to be worshipped but He — The King, the Holy, the One free from all defects, the Giver of Security, the Watcher, the All-Mighty, the Compeller, the Supreme. Glory be to Allah, exalted above what they associate with Him.24. He is Allah, the Creator, the Inventor of all things, the Bestower of forms. To Him belong the Most Beautiful Names. All that is in the heavens and earth glorify Him. And He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. Reflection These verses encapsulate Allah’s majesty and absolute perfection. Reciting them humbles the soul and drives away the whispers and arrogance of the devils.&nbsp; Surat al-Mulk (الملك) 1–6 تَبَـٰرَكَ ٱلَّذِى بِيَدِهِ ٱلْمُلْكُ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ قَدِيرٌ ١ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلْمَوْتَ وَٱلْحَيَوٰةَ لِيَبْلُوَكُمْ أَيُّكُمْ أَحْسَنُ عَمَلًۭا ۚ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْغَفُورُ ٢ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ سَبْعَ سَمَـٰوَٰتٍۢ طِبَاقًۭا ۖ مَّا تَرَىٰ فِى خَلْقِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ مِن تَفَـٰوُتٍۢ ۖ فَٱرْجِعِ ٱلْبَصَرَ هَلْ تَرَىٰ مِن فُطُورٍۢ ٣ ثُمَّ ٱرْجِعِ ٱلْبَصَرَ كَرَّتَيْنِ يَنقَلِبْ إِلَيْكَ ٱلْبَصَرُ خَاسِئًۭا وَهُوَ حَسِيرٌۭ ٤ وَلَقَدْ زَيَّنَّا ٱلسَّمَآءَ ٱلدُّنْيَا بِمَصَـٰبِيحَ وَجَعَلْنَـٰهَا رُجُومًۭا لِّلشَّيَـٰطِينِ ۖ وَأَعْتَدْنَا لَهُمْ عَذَابَ ٱلسَّعِيرِ ٥ وَلِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِرَبِّهِمْ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَ ۖ وَبِئْسَ ٱلْمَصِيرُ ٦1. Blessed is He in Whose Hand is the dominion, and He is Able to do all things.2. Who created death and life that He may test you — which of you is best in deed.3. Who created the seven heavens one above another — you see no flaw in the creation of the Most Merciful.4. Look again — do you see any rifts? Then look again and yet again — your sight will return to you humbled and worn out.5. And We have adorned the nearest heaven with lamps, and made them missiles to drive away the devils.6. And for those who disbelieve in their Lord is the torment of Hell — and what a terrible destination. &nbsp; Surat al-Jinn (الجن) 1–9 قُلْ أُوحِىَ إِلَىَّ أَنَّهُ ٱسْتَمَعَ نَفَرٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلْجِنِّ فَقَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا سَمِعْنَا قُرْءَانًا عَجَبًۭا ١ يَهْدِىٓ إِلَى ٱلرُّشْدِ فَـَٔامَنَّا بِهِۦ ۖ وَلَن نُّشْرِكَ بِرَبِّنَآ أَحَدًۭا ٢ وَأَنَّهُۥ تَعَـٰلَىٰ جَدُّ رَبِّنَا مَا ٱتَّخَذَ صَـٰحِبَةًۭ وَلَا وَلَدًۭا ٣ وَأَنَّهُۥ كَانَ يَقُولُ سَفِيهُنَا عَلَى ٱللَّهِ شَطَطًۭا ٤ وَأَنَّا ظَنَنَّآ أَن لَّن تَقُولَ ٱلْإِنسُ وَٱلْجِنُّ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبًۭا ٥ وَأَنَّهُۥ كَانَ رِجَالٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلْإِنسِ يَعُوذُونَ بِرِجَالٍۢ مِّنَ ٱلْجِنِّ فَزَادُوهُمْ رَهَقًۭا ٦ وَأَنَّهُمْ ظَنُّوا۟ كَمَا ظَنَنتُمْ أَن لَّن يَبْعَثَ ٱللَّهُ أَحَدًۭا ٧ وَأَنَّا لَمَسْنَا ٱلسَّمَآءَ فَوَجَدْنَـٰهَا مُلِئَتْ حَرَسًۭا شَدِيدًۭا وَشُهُبًۭا ٨ وَأَنَّا كُنَّا نَقْعُدُ مِنْهَا مَقَـٰعِدَ لِلسَّمْعِ ۖ فَمَن يَسْتَمِعِ ٱلْـَٔانَ يَجِدْ لَهُۥ شِهَابًۭا رَّصَدًۭا ٩1. Say: “It has been revealed to me that a group of jinn listened and said, ‘Verily, we have heard a wonderful Recital (this Qur’an)!’2. ‘It guides to the Right Path, and we have believed therein. We shall never join anything with our Lord.’3. ‘Exalted is the Majesty of our Lord. He has taken neither a wife nor a son.’4. ‘The foolish among us used to utter lies against Allah.’5. ‘We thought that men and jinn would not utter a lie against Allah.’6. ‘There were men among mankind who took refuge with the jinn, but they only increased them in sin.’7. ‘They thought as you thought — that Allah would not send any Messenger.’8. ‘We sought to reach the heaven, but found it filled with stern guards and flaming fires.’9. ‘We used to sit there to steal a hearing, but now whoever listens will find a flaming fire waiting for him.’ &nbsp; Surat az-Zalzalah (الزلزلة) إِذَا زُلْزِلَتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ زِلْزَالَهَا ١ وَأَخْرَجَتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ أَثْقَالَهَا ٢ وَقَالَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ مَا لَهَا ٣ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ تُحَدِّثُ أَخْبَارَهَا ٤ بِأَنَّ رَبَّكَ أَوْحَىٰ لَهَا ٥ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ يَصْدُرُ ٱلنَّاسُ أَشْتَاتًۭا لِّيُرَوْا۟ أَعْمَـٰلَهُمْ ٦ فَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيْرًۭا يَرَهُۥ ٧ وَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍۢ شَرًّۭا يَرَهُۥ ٨1. When the earth is shaken with its (final) earthquake,2. And when the earth throws out its burdens,3. And man will say, “What is the matter with it?”4. That Day it will declare its information about all that occurred upon it,5. Because your Lord has inspired it.6. That Day mankind will proceed in scattered groups to be shown their deeds.7. So whoever does good equal to the weight of an atom shall see it,8. And whoever does evil equal to the weight of an atom shall see it. &nbsp; Reflection These verses are heavy with the imagery of divine power and judgment. When recited during ruqyah, they remind both the believer and any unseen presence of Allah’s justice — that no act, word, or whisper escapes His knowledge. Ayaat Severe Against the Shayāteen

Part 6 of “The Regimen: Ruqyah with the Qur’an and Sunnah” Compiled by Dalia Elamawy&nbsp; Introduction Magic (sihr) was one of the oldest tools of deception used by shayāṭīn to mislead and harm. These ayaat demonstrate how Allah granted His prophets victory over false sorcery, revealing that truth always prevails and that every illusion vanishes under His command. For anyone seeking protection or release from sihr, these verses are among the strongest to recite with conviction.&nbsp; Surat al-A‘rāf (الأعراف)119-117 ۞ وَأَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنْ أَلْقِ عَصَاكَ ۖ فَإِذَا هِىَ تَلْقَفُ مَا يَأْفِكُونَ ١١٧ فَوَقَعَ ٱلْحَقُّ وَبَطَلَ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ ١١٨ فَغُلِبُوا۟ هُنَالِكَ وَٱنقَلَبُوا۟ صَـٰغِرِينَ ١١٩117. And We inspired to Mūsā (Moses), “Throw your staff,” and at once it devoured what they were falsifying.118. So the truth was established, and abolished was what they were doing.119. And they [i.e., Pharaoh and his people] were overcome right there and became debased. How to Use Recite these verses three times, or seven times if there is an unusual effect (such as physical reaction, tremor, or agitation).&nbsp; Surat Yūnus (يونس) 79–82 وَقَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ ٱئْتُونِى بِكُلِّ سَـٰحِرٍ عَلِيمٍۢ ٧٩ فَلَمَّا جَآءَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ قَالَ لَهُم مُّوسَىٰٓ أَلْقُوا۟ مَآ أَنتُم مُّلْقُونَ ٨٠ فَلَمَّآ أَلْقَوْا۟ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ مَا جِئْتُم بِهِ ٱلسِّحْرُ ۖ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَيُبْطِلُهُۥٓ ۖ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُصْلِحُ عَمَلَ ٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ ٨١ وَيُحِقُّ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْحَقَّ بِكَلِمَـٰتِهِۦ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ ٨٢79. And Fir‘aun (Pharaoh) said, “Bring to me every well-versed sorcerer.”80. And when the sorcerers came, Mūsā (Moses) said to them, “Cast down what you want to cast.”81. Then when they had cast down, Mūsā said, “What you have brought is sorcery. Allah will surely make it of no effect. Verily, Allah does not set right the work of the corrupters.”82. “And Allah will establish and make apparent the truth by His Words, however much the criminals may hate it.” How to Use Recite three times, or seven times if an unusual effect is felt. Repeat the final statement — “Allah will establish the truth by His Words” — for emphasis during ruqyah.&nbsp; Surat Tā-Hā (طه) 65-69 قَالُوا۟ يَـٰمُوسَىٰٓ إِمَّآ أَن تُلْقِىَ وَإِمَّآ أَن نَّكُونَ أَوَّلَ مَنْ أَلْقَىٰ ٦٥ قَالَ بَلْ أَلْقُوا۟ ۖ فَإِذَا حِبَالُهُمْ وَعِصِيُّهُمْ يُخَيَّلُ إِلَيْهِ مِن سِحْرِهِمْ أَنَّهَا تَسْعَىٰ ٦٦ فَأَوْجَسَ فِى نَفْسِهِۦ خِيفَةًۭ مُّوسَىٰ ٦٧ قُلْنَا لَا تَخَفْ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ ٦٨ وَأَلْقِ مَا فِى يَمِينِكَ تَلْقَفْ مَا صَنَعُوٓا۟ ۖ إِنَّمَا صَنَعُوا۟ كَيْدُ سَـٰحِرٍۢ ۖ وَلَا يُفْلِحُ ٱلسَّاحِرُ حَيْثُ أَتَىٰ ٦٩65. They said: “O Mūsā (Moses)! Either you throw first or we will be the first to throw.”66. [Mūsā] said, “Nay, throw you first!” Then behold, their ropes and their sticks, by their magic, appeared to him as though they moved fast.67. So Mūsā conceived a fear in himself.68. We (Allah) said: “Fear not! Surely, you will have the upper hand.”69. “And throw that which is in your right hand! It will swallow up what they have made. What they have made is only a magician’s trick, and the magician will never be successful, no matter whatever skill he may attain.” How to Use Recite three times, or seven times if an unusual effect occurs. Reflect upon the words “Fear not! Surely, you will have the upper hand” — a divine assurance that no magic, no illusion, and no falsehood can overpower the truth of Allah’s command.&nbsp; Reflection These verses reveal a pattern:Falsehood and illusion disappear when Allah’s Words are spoken with conviction. The believer is reminded to act with courage, knowing that sihr has no power except by Allah’s permission. Ayaat for Protection from Sihr (Magic)

Part 5 of “The Regimen: Ruqyah with the Qur’an and Sunnah” Compiled by Dalia Elamawy&nbsp; Introduction The Prophet ﷺ warned us that envy (hassad) and the evil eye (‘ayn) are real and can cause tangible harm — but that Allah has provided us the means of protection through His revealed words. These verses uncover the roots of envy, teach us how to respond to it, and strengthen our spiritual immunity through remembrance and forgiveness.&nbsp; Surat al-Baqarah (البقرة) 109 وَدَّ كَثِيرٌۭ مِّنْ أَهْلِ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ لَوْ يَرُدُّونَكُم مِّنۢ بَعْدِ إِيمَـٰنِكُمْ كُفَّارًا حَسَدًۭا مِّنْ عِندِ أَنفُسِهِم مِّنۢ بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُمُ ٱلْحَقُّ ۖ فَٱعْفُوا۟ وَٱصْفَحُوا۟ حَتَّىٰ يَأْتِىَ ٱللَّهُ بِأَمْرِهِۦٓ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ قَدِيرٌۭ ١٠٩Many of the People of the Scripture wish they could turn you back to disbelief after you have believed, out of envy from themselves — even after the truth has become clear to them. So pardon and overlook until Allah delivers His command. Indeed, Allah is over all things competent. Reflection When others envy us, the Qur’an calls us not to retaliate but to rise above — to pardon and overlook. Patience and trust in Allah’s decree become our shield, while resentment only feeds the harm we seek to repel.&nbsp; Surat an-Nisā’ (النساء) 54 أَمْ يَحْسُدُونَ ٱلنَّاسَ عَلَىٰ مَآ ءَاتَىٰهُمُ ٱللَّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِۦ ۖ فَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَآ ءَالَ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ وَٱلْحِكْمَةَ وَءَاتَيْنَـٰهُم مُّلْكًا عَظِيمًۭا ٥٤Or do they envy people for what Allah has given them of His bounty? But We had already given the family of Abraham the Scripture and wisdom and conferred upon them a great kingdom. Reflection Envy stems from forgetting that every gift is distributed by Allah. Just as Allah chose to bless the family of Ibrāhīm (‘alayhi as-salām) with Scripture, wisdom, and dominion, He grants each soul according to His divine wisdom.&nbsp; Surat al-Kahf (الكهف) 39 وَلَوْلَآ إِذْ دَخَلْتَ جَنَّتَكَ قُلْتَ مَا شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ لَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِٱللَّهِ ۚ إِن تَرَنِ أَنَا۠ أَقَلَّ مِنكَ مَالًۭا وَوَلَدًۭا ٣٩And why did you, when you entered your garden, not say: “What Allah willed [has occurred]; there is no power except in Allah”? Although you see me less than you in wealth and children… Reflection This ayah reveals the antidote to envy: attributing every blessing to Allah. The phrase مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ لَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ (“What Allah willed; there is no power except with Allah”) is both a statement of humility and a powerful shield from ‘ayn.&nbsp; Surat al-Qalam (القلم) 51 &nbsp;وَإِن يَكَادُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَيُزْلِقُونَكَ بِأَبْصَـٰرِهِمْ لَمَّا سَمِعُوا۟ ٱلذِّكْرَ وَيَقُولُونَ إِنَّهُۥ لَمَجْنُونٌۭ ٥١And indeed, those who disbelieve would almost make you slip with their eyes when they hear the message, and they say, “Indeed, he is mad.” Reflection This ayah points directly to the phenomenon of ‘ayn (evil eye). Even the Prophet ﷺ was not exempt from people’s envious stares — yet Allah protected him. By reciting and reflecting upon this verse, the believer reaffirms that protection from envy lies in Allah’s safeguarding alone.&nbsp; How to Use These Ayaat for Ruqyah Recite these verses while consciously reflecting on Allah’s power over human jealousy. They are especially effective when combined with adhkaar such as Bismillah arqeek and the Mu‘awidhatayn (Surat al-Falaq and Surat an-Nās), which will appear later in this series.&nbsp; Final Reflection The one who recites these verses acknowledges that envy and the evil eye cannot pierce the heart that rests in Allah’s protection. These verses awaken awe, humility, and trust — reminding us that no movement, power, or outcome occurs except by His decree. Reflecting on them fills the heart with tawakkul (trust), serenity, and reverence during ruqyah.&nbsp; Surat Aal-‘Imrān (آل عمران) 26–27 قُلِ ٱللَّهُمَّ مَـٰلِكَ ٱلْمُلْكِ تُؤْتِى ٱلْمُلْكَ مَن تَشَآءُ وَتَنزِعُ ٱلْمُلْكَ مِمَّن تَشَآءُ وَتُعِزُّ مَن تَشَآءُ وَتُذِلُّ مَن تَشَآءُ ۖ بِيَدِكَ ٱلْخَيْرُ ۖ إِنَّكَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ قَدِيرٌۭ ٢٦ تُولِجُ ٱلَّيْلَ فِى ٱلنَّهَارِ وَتُولِجُ ٱلنَّهَارَ فِى ٱلَّيْلِ ۖ وَتُخْرِجُ ٱلْحَىَّ مِنَ ٱلْمَيِّتِ وَتُخْرِجُ ٱلْمَيِّتَ مِنَ ٱلْحَىِّ ۖ وَتَرْزُقُ مَن تَشَآءُ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍۢ ٢٧26. Say: “O Allah! Possessor of the kingdom, You give the kingdom to whom You will, and You take the kingdom from whom You will. You endue with honour whom You will, and You humiliate whom You will. In Your Hand is all good. Verily, You are Able to do all things.”27. “You make the night enter into the day, and You make the day enter into the night. You bring the living out of the dead, and You bring the dead out of the living. And You give wealth and sustenance to whom You will, without limit.” Points to Ponder Allah is my Rabb, and nothing escapes His will. He gives and takes, raises and lowers, honours and humbles. I turn to Him in both strength and weakness — for all is from Him, Subhānahu wa Ta‘āla.How to Use It for Ruqyah Recite once.&nbsp; Surat al-A‘rāf (الأعراف) 54–56 إِنَّ رَبَّكُمُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ فِى سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍۢ ثُمَّ ٱسْتَوَىٰ عَلَى ٱلْعَرْشِ يُغْشِى ٱلَّيْلَ ٱلنَّهَارَ يَطْلُبُهُۥ حَثِيثًۭا وَٱلشَّمْسَ وَٱلْقَمَرَ وَٱلنُّجُومَ مُسَخَّرَٰتٍۭ بِأَمْرِهِۦٓ ۗ أَلَا لَهُ ٱلْخَلْقُ وَٱلْأَمْرُ ۗ تَبَارَكَ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ ٥٤ ٱدْعُوا۟ رَبَّكُمْ تَضَرُّعًۭا وَخُفْيَةً ۚ إِنَّهُۥ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُعْتَدِينَ ٥٥ وَلَا تُفْسِدُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ بَعْدَ إِصْلَـٰحِهَا وَٱدْعُوهُ خَوْفًۭا وَطَمَعًا ۚ إِنَّ رَحْمَتَ ٱللَّهِ قَرِيبٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ ٥٦54. Indeed, your Lord is Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth in six days, then rose over the Throne. He brings the night as a cover over the day, following it in rapid succession, and He created the sun, the moon, and the stars, all subjected to His command. Surely His is the creation and the command. Blessed be Allah, the Lord of all worlds!55. Invoke your Lord with humility and in secret. He loves not the aggressors.56. Do not cause corruption on the earth after it has been set in order, and invoke Him with fear and hope. Surely Allah’s mercy is near to the doers of good. Points to Ponder I call upon You, O Allah, with humility and in secret. I invoke You with fear and hope — for Your mercy is ever near to the believers.How to Use It for Ruqyah Recite at least once.&nbsp; Ayaat That Mention Shifaa’ (Healing) These verses explicitly remind us that the Qur’an itself is a cure and mercy for the believers.&nbsp; Surat Yūnus (يونس) 57 قُلْ بِفَضْلِ ٱللَّهِ وَبِرَحْمَتِهِۦ فَبِذَٰلِكَ فَلْيَفْرَحُوا۟ هُوَ خَيْرٌۭ مِّمَّا يَجْمَعُونَ ٥٨ قُلْO mankind, there has come to you instruction from your Lord and healing for what is in the hearts — and guidance and mercy for the believers. How to Use: Recite at least once.&nbsp; Surat al-Isrā’ (الإسراء) 82 وَنُنَزِّلُ مِنَ ٱلْقُرْءَانِ مَا هُوَ شِفَآءٌۭ وَرَحْمَةٌۭ لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ۙ وَلَا يَزِيدُ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ إِلَّا خَسَارًۭا ٨٢And We send down from the Qur’an that which is healing and mercy for the believers, but it does not increase the wrongdoers except in loss. How to Use: Recite at least once.&nbsp; Surat ash-Shu‘arā’ (الشعراء) 75–80 قَالَ أَفَرَءَيْتُم مَّا كُنتُمْ تَعْبُدُونَ ٧٥ أَنتُمْ وَءَابَآؤُكُمُ ٱلْأَقْدَمُونَ ٧٦ فَإِنَّهُمْ عَدُوٌّۭ لِّىٓ إِلَّا رَبَّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ ٧٧ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَنِى فَهُوَ يَهْدِينِ ٧٨ وَٱلَّذِى هُوَ يُطْعِمُنِى وَيَسْقِينِ ٧٩ وَإِذَا مَرِضْتُ فَهُوَ يَشْفِينِ ٨٠In these ayaat, Ibrāhīm (‘alayhi as-salām) beautifully describes Allah’s help and his own human weakness. Ayah 80 concludes with:“And when I am ill, it is He who cures me.” How to Use: Repeat this ayah an odd number of times.&nbsp; Surat Fussilat (فصلت) 44 وَلَوْ جَعَلْنَـٰهُ قُرْءَانًا أَعْجَمِيًّۭا لَّقَالُوا۟ لَوْلَا فُصِّلَتْ ءَايَـٰتُهُۥٓ ۖ ءَا۬عْجَمِىٌّۭ وَعَرَبِىٌّۭ ۗ قُلْ هُوَ لِلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ هُدًۭى وَشِفَآءٌۭ ۖ وَٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ فِىٓ ءَاذَانِهِمْ وَقْرٌۭ وَهُوَ عَلَيْهِمْ عَمًى ۚ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ يُنَادَوْنَ مِن مَّكَانٍۭ بَعِيدٍۢ ٤٤Say: “It is, for those who believe, a guidance and cure.” But those who do not believe — in their ears is deafness, and it is upon them blindness. Those are being called from a distant place. How to Use: Repeat this part an odd number of times.&nbsp; Reflection Each of these ayaat renews the believer’s conviction that healing lies only in the words of Allah.
